Unexpected hiatus
A few people have noted that Dispatches from 108 Church has been eerily silent of late, despite that fact that its author has been on extended leave from work.
Parenting leave. And yet the blog, mostly about parenting, has been quiet.
The irony is not lost on me.
We'll be back soon, with lengthy updates. Been busy travelling and whatnot. For now, I share this conversational nugget, in which Owen gets a taste of his own medicine.
The scene: Two fathers in the front seat, Owen and Justin, aged 3, in the back. A train whistle sounds.

Father 1: What was that sound?
Owen: A train!
Justin: But where is it?
Owen: I don't know.
Justin: But you said you saw it.
Owen: No, I just said it was a train.
Justin: But where is it?
Owen: I don't know.
Justin: But where is the train?
Owen: Stop talking!
