Conversations with Owen, Vol. 1

Owen is in bed, almost asleep, when he calls for Daddy.

Owen: I need a diaper.
Me: Why? Do you need to pee?
Owen: Yes.
Me: Use your potty. It's right here.
Owen: But I need a diaper. It's nighttime.
Me: I know, but since you're awake, you might as well just use the potty.
Owen (loud): Mommy!
Me: What are you doing?
Owen: I would like to talk to Mommy about this.
